Fellowship
The people here, my colleagues and superiors have been very nice. I was thankful to travel to that conference in the North Eastern part of Hungary with the head of the missions department. She and I had some good discussions on the way there and back. She is very good, and I look forward to working with her.
My other colleagues have been kind as well. I think though, the personal dynamics are different than in Kolozsvar. Many here are married with families. Many communte into the city to work and the ones who live in the city, live in different areas of the city. The dynamics are not unlike a work environment in Toronto, so for this reason it is not unfamiliar, but I am aware of the challenges in getting to know people beyond a work relationship.
I have been praying for fellowship. I haven't found a church yet. Last Sunday I went to the Scott Mission - a presbyterian congregation founded by Scottish presbyterians. It is an English speaking congregation but since I am in Hungary and I speak the language, I feel I should become part of a Hungarian church community. I am still looking for one.
